Children's constant complaining about being 'bored' is a common nuisance for parents, but fear not, Perth has some exciting new events coming up these holidays to keep the little ones occupied!

Fri 24 June- Sun 17 July: The Fremantle Winter Festival

The Winter Festival occurs at this time of year in Fremantle Esplanade Park, and is dedicated to the traditional fairytale of a white winter as the area is transformed into a magical spectacle sure to make the kids delighted. 

It is free to enter, and attractions including Australia’s biggest outdoor ice rink, a huge pop up slide and lots of music and entertainment to enjoy while experiencing falling snow! 

It is encouraged that you buy your ice-skating tickets in advance as sessions are known to sell out quick.

Sat 2 July- Sun 10 July: Kids Wonderland- Under The Big Top 

For a one time entry fee, kids can enjoy all rides and activities inside the Big Top tent, or even watch a live show on the tents amazing stage. 

Treat your children to free popcorn and super fun activities whilst you relax in the Starlight Coffee Bar or the ‘Parents Stirling Oasis’, or if you're feeling daring, ride alongside them! 

An entire kids carnival all undercover that is sure to excite this winter.

Sat 2 July- Sat 16 July: Splat! Performed by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre 

Splat! is an exhilarating performance of circus, puppetry, dance, digital animation and paper-play that will leave you amazed by its high-intensity acrobatics and the finest puppetry in the world. 

This play is designed to unleash creativity and celebrate the importance of friendship, a delight for the kids to watch. 

Performed in the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre in Fremantle, this show will be a pleasure to watch for the whole family.

Mon 11 Jul 2016- Wed 13 Jul 2016: Bibbulmun Track Teen Trek

The Bibbulmun Track Teen Trek is a three-day expedition for teenagers, as they camp out and are able to connect with others their age as well as the nature around them.

The teens are presented with mental and physical challenges to stimulate their minds and bodies and encourage them to get outside and embrace nature. As part of the event, the teens have the opportunity to qualify for a bronze or silver Duke of Edinburgh Award Program.

Tue 5 July 2016- Thur 14 July 2016: The 52-Storey Treehouse 

Hosted by The State Theatre Centre Of Western Australia, Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton’s bestselling book is finally coming to the stage this July!

A crazy, imaginative and engaging play sure to capture the kids attention with it’s wacky story line and even wackier characters, this play is said to be suited for 6-12 year olds and their parental guardians.
