MoveMe Festival 2016

Published : September 11, 2016

Immerse yourself in dance at the MoveMe Festival 2016

Edgy is an understatement with contemporary dance as you’ve never seen before is coming to Perth’s State Theatre with the magical, radical week-long MoveMe Festival September 15-18.

New works by WA’s premier dance companies, Ausdance WA, Co3, STRUT Dance and Performing Lines WA will showcase exciting contemporary performances and offer opportunities for the audience to engage with the artists over the four day festival.

Among the stunning performances that make up the core program are Decadance Perth 2016, the culmination of STRUT’s partnership with the Batsheva Dance Company from Israel, Raewyn Hill’s the cry, featuring Co3 with a live score by Eden Mulholland, and Performing Lines WA’s performance of Dark Matter by PRAXIS.

Last held four years ago, this is touted to be an electrifying series of events bringing dancers, choreographers and audiences together. Along with the core events will be several other events including the 2016 Australian Dance Awards, satellite performances including WA Ballet and Force Majeure, a teachers forum and Q&A sessions.
