Dreaming of becoming a published writer, but a little clueless on how the publishing and book industry works?

UWA Publishing are hosting an afternoon Writers' Forum that will be sure to inspire. 

The Dorothy Hewett Award Writers Forum will afford budding authors insight and book lovers into literary awards, the publishing process and writing in Western Australia.

720 ABC Perth's Gillian O'Shaughnessy will be speaking with author Amanda Curtin and Director of UWA Publishing Terri-ann White.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panelists all those burning questions about the book industry.

Topics of discussion include WA writing and literary culture, insights into publishing and literary awards, plus a valuable insight into the awards process and what judges will be looking for.
