Published : February 24, 2017

Teriyaki Pork Stirfry - Preparation time: 10 minutes | Cooking time: 15 minutes | Serves: 5-6
Ingredients

500g lean pork strips
1 cup teriyaki marinade
2 tbsp oil
1 onion cut into wedges
500g stir fry vegetables, prepared
300g fresh thick hokkien noodles
2 cups boiling water
½ a cup extra teriyaki marinade

Method
  • Combine the pork strips and the teriyaki marinade, cover and allow to marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Pour 2 cups boiling water over hokkien noodles and soak for 3 minutes before draining.
  • Preheat wok or frying pan for 2 minutes over medium heat.  Add a little oil, stir fry pork in 2 batches, remove and keep warm.
  • Add remaining oil, stir fry vegetables for 3-4 minutes.
  • Toss in drained hokkien noodles and extra teriyaki marinade and stir fry for further 2-3 minutes.
  • Return pork to wok and toss for 3-4 minutes until warmed and well mixed.  Serve in warmed bowls.
  • Tip: a cold beer is delicious with a stir fry – or you could complement the Japanese flavour of teriyaki with sake, served either ice cold or warmed.
