Planning is underway for the Jazz by the Bay festival which will take place from 2 - 5 June 2017 in three of Southern Western Australia's pictureque locations: Dunsborough, Busselton, and Margaret River.
For the first time in its five year history, the Jazz by the Bay festival will feature international acts as well as Australian jazz talent. Three members of the Cuban based Buena Vista Social Club, Lazaro Pompa (trumpeteer), Pablo Calzado (drummer), and Camila Cortina Bello (pianist) will team up with Perth jazz group Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys for a night of fiery Latin music in Busselton.
Also headlinging the festival are UK jazz singer, Karen Lane as well as Perth jazz soloist and festival regular, Cathrine Summers.
Once details of additional acts and performances are confirmed, a full program of free and ticketed events for the festival will be available on the Jazz by the Bay website in the next few weeks.
In the meantime tickets for the Buena Vista Social Club/Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys performance are available for purchase on the Jazz by the Bay website at a cost of $98.50. This unique double act will entertain Latin music lovers on Saturday 3 June 2017 at the Piano Box Jazz Bar at Busselton's Old Broadwater Farm.
