Event: Grapes in the Grounds – Swan Valley’s newest festival hits Oakover Grounds next month!

Sip, swirl and taste your way around the Swan Valley in just one location!

The inaugural family friendly wine festival will feature a range of wineries, breweries and food from the Valley with festival goers able to wander the Grounds past the various local producers tasting as they go.

Set in the picturesque Oakover Grounds, wine lovers will be able to taste and compare various wine from producers such as Sittella, Pinelli, Garbin Estate, Olive Farm Wines, Oakover Wines, Coward & Black and many more. Choose to enjoy a glass under the trees or BYO a picnic rug and soak up the tranquillity of Oakover’s lake with your favourite glass of vino.

Showcasing 18 local Swan Valley wineries, this festival marks the first collaboration between businesses in the Swan Valley making the region more accessible to wine lovers.

The non wine lovers aren’t forgotten either…. Mash Brewery will be on hand with their range of brews along with Oakover’s SideKick Cider and FiORi Coffee to keep the caffeine levels up throughout the day. A range of delicious local food vendors will feed the crowds with live entertainment from 10am till 6pm.

Tickets are just $15 per person for the day and include a glass of standard wine. Those wanting to learn more about wine will be able to join in on a range of masterclasses on the day. Available classes include a sparkling workshop with Sittella’s winemaker Yuri Berns, learn about the winemaking process with Oakover Wine’s Ragan Wood or indulge with the fortified masterclass – an additional $30pp.

This one day event brings together the Swan Valley all in one location for a day of local wine, food and beer whilst enjoying the Perth spring sunshine!
