Event: Margaret River Gourmet Escape November 2016

The fifth annual Margaret River Gourmet Escape promises to be the very best yet with a whole range of new and exciting events and guests, including Nigella herself.

The Margaret River Gourmet Escape is back again this November, with tickets going on sale Friday 22 July.

Over 40 international, Australian and local chefs and foodie types will be doing their thing promoting and sharing the best of Western Australia at a variety of dinners, brunches, lunches, tastings, sundowners, Q&As and more.

Friday evening's twilight dinner at Margaret Rivers Secret Garden ($320/person) looks like one worth attending with local, passionate chef, George Cooper of Food by the Chef, combining his talents and love of native produce with those of Basque chef Andoni Luis Aduriz of Mugaritz, Spain (No. 7 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants). Their creations will be matched with premium Wilyabrup wines and the meal followed by a jazz performance and a question and answer in in the Garden's amphitheatre.

Nigella fans will be pleased to know she is a special guest of this year's Margaret River Gourmet Escape and will have the opportunity to meet her at Saturday's An Audience with Nigella at Voyager Estate. Standard Ticket for this event includes drinks and canapés on arrival and unreserved seating with all guests having a seat to enjoy the show ($125 per person). VIP Tickets are strictly limited and include drinks and canapés, preferential seating, and a signed copy Nigella's cookbook of Simply Nigella as well as the opportunity to meet Nigella herself ($225 per person).

Other things to do and see include the classic Audi Gourmet Beach BBQs, Quay to the Celler at Cullens winery lunch, Brunch with the Best each morning at Voyager Estate, and a visit to the Gourmet Village in the beautiful grounds of the Leeuwin Estate Winery over the weekend is a must.
