Chocolate Fudge

Published : July 23, 2015

For an easy chocolate treat recipe which children will especially love to make, why not try this foolproof recipe for chocolate fudge using a simple microwave method?

INGREDIENTS

450g dark or milk quality compound chocolate
395g can condensed milk
50g unsalted butter

METHOD

  • Line a lamington tin (roughly 27cm x 18cm in size) with baking paper.
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and place in a microwave for 1½ minutes on half power (it is essential that you don’t use full power otherwise the chocolate may burn).  Remove, stir and place in microwave for another minute, still on half power.  Remove and stir again until the mixture is totally smooth.  Depending on the strength of your microwave you may need to give it another few seconds to melt the chocolate completely.
  • Spread the chocolate in the lamington tin and chill for approximately two hours until set (or ½ an hour in the freezer if you really can’t wait to start nibbling!).
  • Cut the fudge into small squares and store in an airtight container.
